About Joan:
"Several years ago, I was invited by a friend to shoot (with a camera) brown bears in Alaska with his National Geographic Photographer friends. That adventure went so well, I joined the same six photographers to the Amazon Jungle the following year. Having the opportunity to be with such talented photographers raised the bar exponentially for me."
"My work has been shown at Filoli, the California Coastal Commission and various other organizations around the bay area. I am published in Birds and Bloom Magazine and several local newspapers. I am a past president of several of the local photo clubs as well as having served on the Silicon Valley Open Studios Board of Directors for several years. For the past nine years I have given wildlife lectures to local libraries, senior retirement communities and private clubs averaging eighty programs a year. "
You can receive more information about my wildlife presentations, dates and locations by emailing me at rjrjsparks@msn.com.
